Monday, May 19, 2014 I am going to try something different with my blog/diet. I have been reading some weight loss blogs and watching every weight loss t.v. show and trying to figure out how to get my weight loss started back in the right direction. I debated on if I should rejoin weight watchers or just keep up with my fitness pal counting calories. I decided to stick with fitness pal.

I also want to try for some feed back a picture food journal to see if I can get help where I am going wrong.

Fallen off the wagon

I have fallen off the wagon once again. I never know how much Mother's Day affects me until it is over and done with. I have eaten like crazy since last Saturday. I have not walked or exercised very much except for a little walk with my family and working in my flower garden and planting our garden. I miss my mom so much and there are so many times that I would give anything to talk to her for just a few minutes but that would never be long enough. I have got to get back on track again but I am so frustrated because it is like I can not lose any weight. I know that some of my problem is that I am not eating enough vegetables. I have really thought about doing weight watchers again but I really like doing fitnesspal. It is so easy with my phone tracking my calories but it just don't seem to be working anymore. I am only eating 1200 calories and my doctor said not go below this amount of calories that my body will think it is in starvation mood and really stop losing weight. He has lost a lot of weight but giving up white food. I could do this but I like potatoes, and a bun for an hot dog or hamburger. I know I could give up these 2 foods but would it really be worth giving up white food. I also love a biscuit from Bojangles!!
I need to do better and use my self discipline, will-power and pray pray pray!!!  I can not do a liquid diet. I don't want to waste the money to do Nutri-System, Weight Watchers or any other program that requires money to do and buy food.  I really wish I had a group of women or friends to diet and exercise with. I have always been a clingy person needing friends to talk to to keep me boosted up. When I stayed at home with the boys when they were little I had people to talk on the phone most days but now everyone has gone on with their lives and their children are grown. I have always had friends but I have never had a true life long friend. I have always wanted one but it just never turns out that way. Oh well this is getting off course just like me.

Mother's Day 2

I have been challenged on face book to take pictures through out the day of what I have been doing and put them in a collage. I started yesterday and thought I would share with you. The funny thing is when the farmer looked at the collage he said that is everything I did yesterday. I said, "I know but we watched" LOL.

I have been getting some great pictures of birds and nest. I love the indigo bunting in the top corner. I captured this bird I have been following for about a month.

Mother's day was a great day. We put out the flowers on my granny's and grandpa grave, my aunt Mildred's grave, my Uncle, Aunts and cousins grave and my moms. Here are a few pictures

We also got to go spend time with the Farmer's grandma who will be 93 years old in June. She is a wonderful woman and she inspires me to want to live to be old if I can only be has healthy as her. Her she is standing behind her knock out roses that the farmer planted for her.

I also captured this beautiful wild rabbit that has been living in my yard for about 2 years. She usually has baby bunnies in my flower bed. If she has some this year I will try to get a picture of them for you.

I got some flowers for mother's day. Here is my flower bed that I fixed with new dirt and plants. Tomorrow I am going to looks for some herbs for my herb bed.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is tomorrow and I want to wish everyone a very happy Mother's Day. I have loved being a mom. I know I have had days were I would like to disappear or change my name from "mama" but I have always wanted to be a mom. I can remember pretending I was a mom from a very young age. All I every wanted to do was to get married and have babies. I had two miscarries before I got pregnant and carried Seth Thomas Garner to full term.

Here he is enjoying a cookout over at his mamaw's house today.

I loved him so much and I knew in my heart I wanted another baby a few years later. I had my sweet baby boy Clay Joseph Garner.
Clay doing his favorite thing sitting in the swing being cool.
Tomorrow I will be missing my mom on Mother's day. I miss her everyday. I will go and place flowers on her grave in honor of Mother's day. I love you and miss you so much.

A great day on the farm.

Oh what a glorious day. It has been beautiful here today. We have had a really good day also. The farmer got up and went turkey hunting this morning and he got he first gobbler of the season. He has been so busy on the farm he has not had much time to go.

Later in the day we went to the strawberry farm and picked some strawberries. I love strawberries and I am looking forward to eating some with cake and cool whip. Yes I bought an angel food cake and fat free cool-whip for Sunday dessert. We are planning on cooking out hamburgers on the grill tomorrow. I am looking forward to that to.

Later we went and put some flowers on Grandma Jewels and my dad's grave. Tomorrow is memorial day at my church and in memory of our love ones we put new flowers on the graves. The grave yard is beautiful with all of the pretty flowers. I will try to go out tomorrow after everything is put out.

Grandma Jewels

My dad Jackie Thomas.
I miss them both so much. It does not feel like my dad has been died for 21 years. I miss him everyday. Next Sunday is Mother's Day and memorial day at the church my mom is buried at. I miss her so much to.

Later in the day went to a ride on the mule and went over to the pond and to see the donkeys.
Looking across the pasture to the pond.

Jenny was laying in the sun when we got there.

We took them some cornbread muffins. Jenny loves them but Valentine did not try them.

Look how much the baby has grown.

The wild geese are still at the pond and the female is sitting on her eggs. Can not wait to meet the new goslings. Clay was great all day also. He sat at the end of the strawberry rows and watched his ipod while we picked. We also got to go out and visit the farmer's grandma today also. We picked her some strawberries. She froze 3 quart bags.

My sister-in-law posted some pictures of her other son who join the marines and is at Paris Island. Both of her twin sons are in the marines now. The whole family is so proud of them.
He is the 3rd man in line.

Well it is getting late and about time to get ready for bed. Thanks for stopping by.
