Pictures around the farm...

Not a lot been going on around here on the farm. We have been keeping busy doing a little yard work, cleaning out buildings at grandmas and I am still keeping up with the diet. We went out to the pasture the other day and I got a picture of a Meadowlark bird. It is so pretty. The Carolina buttercups have been coming out in the pastures. The farmer went turkey hunting and the signs of them were all over his boots.

I wish I would have gotten pictures of the building out at grandmas before and after cleaning out the well house building. It looks so good. The snowball bush was so pretty then we had lots of rain and it messed up. We have sugar snap peas that are growing nicely. It should not be long until they start blooming. My little herb garden is coming along. I have planted some lavender, rosemary and lemon grass again. I really hopes that it lives this year. Oh I almost forgot when we were cleaning out the well house building I found the cool green enamel bowl.
It is a little rusty but I love it

21 days... and life.

I am starting a new 21 day challenge tomorrow. It is a legs and gluts challenge along with a 3 day detox/fast! I am hoping this will be the kick in the but that I need to get my weight loss going down again. I really want to lose 10 or more pounds before vacation time. I am excited and I will try to keep you updated as it goes.

My uncle Carlton passed away this week it was so sad. I hate it for my Aunt Betty and my cousins Sandra, Patricia and Debbie. I went to the funeral and it has gotten where funerals are like family reunions. I rode with my cousins Kim and Karen and my aunt Goody. I love spending time with them It was my Aunt Goody's 85 birthday. I have a lot of good childhood memories. I walked down and looked at my Granny's house. It was kinda of sad seeing the place look different.

Our potato patch is looking good. It is really starting to grow.

I walked around in the yard and took some pictures of my plants

50 years old!!

I made it to 50 years old. I know a lot of women do not want to share their age especially 50 years of age, but I am proud. See both of my parents died 6 months apart at age 48 years old. I had decided that I would probably not live to be any older than this also. So I am so happy that I made it!! I got to celebrate with my family and the farmers parents on Friday the day of my birthday. She made me a wonderful chocolate delight dessert. It was so yummy. On Saturday my sister and her family and my brother and his family came to celebrate with me. It was a beautiful day.

It is funny that the Farmer's name starts with and L and his sister name starts with an L. They married peoples who's names start with V's and we both turn 50 the 14 and 16 How cool is that?

Now to get back on track with my diet. I have eaten way to much cake and sweets. It was so yummy though.

Out and about...

We went to the Indian Mound. I love going out to the and walking. The older the boys get the harder it is to get them to walk. But the biggest reason we don't go out walking so much is because of people. There is to many people!!  We also went for a hike at Poison creek looking for deer horns without any luck. Oh well, we had a great time at the Indian mound there was no one there but us.
