Thanksgiving....

Thanksgiving came and went. I shed a few tears and got on my knees and prayed a lot. I have so much to be grateful for. I made a lot of food. Spiral ham, roasted chicken, dressing, potato salad, gravy, green beans, cream corn,  sweet potato casserole, collards and rolls.

I have kept up my exercise, but my diet has fell to the wayside. I start my new challenge December 1 and I am really going to get myself on track. I just want to lose 6 or 7 lbs before the beginning of the year. I wish I could come to a fix for me and my emotions. I have turned to God and prayed for him to take control of every aspects of my life. I need a Prayer Warriors on my side. I know that God has the answers I just have to have patience and be still and know that he is God. I am still exercising and I do start back 21 day fix on Monday, December 5. I have also bought Hammer and chisel that is another exercise video from beach body. This challenge is a series of 4 different exercising  and it will end March 16 a month before my 50th birthday. I have got to get it together.

Ok that is enough about myself. Here some stuff that is going on around the farm. The leaves are falling. This is the pile of leaves I swept off the deck this morning.

some volunteer petunias cam up and are blooming.

Oh yeah we did something fun. We have been going to little antique/junk consignment stores. I love it. We went to one in Albemarle NC the other day and spent 2 hours in there. The boys even enjoyed it.

I will share what I bought next post. God bless you all and stop for stopping by.

Family pictures...

It is so hard to get a good family picture. We have learned over the years though it is easier to set the timer on the camera and the Farmer run and get in his place. Today we did not pick the best place to take the picture but we did managed to get a  good one.

Thanksgiving is a few days away and every year it gets harder and harder to deal with. Family keeps dwindling away. The mood of depression seems to grow. I have many things to be grateful for and to give thanks for. I just wish everyone else could find the same.  Thanksgiving will never be the same. Last years was a disaster with Clay getting upset and having a meltdown as soon as we got there and we had to leave. This year the family is not getting along and so Thanksgiving will be our family. This makes me happy and sad for all kinds of reasons I rather not share. I just wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving and may there be love in all of your families.

Just another day on the farm...

We have been have some nice days on the farm. I love fall weather and spring there is beauty in both. We finally had our fist frost. It got all the flowers and my little fig tree that the figs never got ripe. I dd not think that they would but I was hoping. They grew some but that is the end for them.

We have been seeing a couple of snakes. Yesterday the Farmer saw this Eastern hognose snake when walking to his deer stand. He said it was hissing at him. Two days ago we saw a little tiny snake. Not sure what kind it was.

We got us some new furniture about a week ago. Our old furniture was used when we got it and was almost wore out then. We went to Big Lots and got this. It is really nice and sits good. We also got a 3 year warranty with it.

we got the sofa and love seat
I found some little carolers that I want to make and hang on my tree. You need the old kind of clothes pins to make them. I had to ordered them off of Amazon. They did not have them at any of the local stores. Are they not just so cute. I found them on Pinterest. I am also going to try to make some big ones like. I am making my own big clothes pins my aunt Henny Penny shared with me. I am excited to see how they turn out. I hope they won't be to hard.

This is the beginning of them

Yesterday the Farmer gave the cows some hay and Clay wanted to ride on the tractor with him.

I got out Monday night and took a picture of the super moon. I love taking pictures of the moon.

Quick update on my devotion. I am still loving the book and it is really making me think. I still do not have my eating under control, but I am confident with Gods help and prayers that I will succeed. I ordered me a new exercise program to start. I am starting a new challenge December 5th with the Beach Body coach Autumn Calabrese. I am excited. I have one more program I need to order to do it.

I hope that I am up to this!! Already feeling tired.

I have got to get my eating under control. Fifty is getting nearer and nearer. I still have 30 more pounds to lose and I am determined to do it. Please pray for me.

Well thanks for stoping by. Also thank you to my new followers. I will try to write more often now that I have new followers. Thanks.

Beautiful Fall Day...

I am loving this cooler weather and really am looking forward to the first frost. It has been so dry around here that the leaves are not turning a really pretty colors. They are turning yellow and brown with some yellows. We have a frost advisory for tonight and I am hoping that it will get the persimmons to fall on off the tree. Just look at how many are on the tree still.

My brother and his family came for a surprise visit today! I am walking on cloud nine just wish my sister could have came to. I love it when all my family is together.

We got to ride on the mule, cracked some pecans and they rode on the tractor. It was a great day.

Clay loves riding on the tractor also. Look at Jacks cute face.

Judson looking so cute!

My brother trying out the tractor.

I am loving the new devotional I am reading.

Today was day 7 and it made me think. I have only been reading and studying my bible for the last 2 years. and I am trying to make senses and applying everything to  my life.

Thanks for stoping by.

Clay's 21st birthday

Wow how can it be that my baby is 21? He has asked to go to the zoo for a while now his mamaw but she has not felt like walking with her bad knee. So today I asked her just to walk one side and take Clay for his birthday and she agreed. He had a great time.
I love this! But can you believe it cost 16$?

My Birthday  boy!
We had a wonderful day. I also wanted to give a little update on my new devotional study I am doing for weight loss that was blown up today for birthdays but not terrible.

This week is about Surrender: To forgive your self and let the Lord help you with everything in life including your eating habits. My goal is to stick to this for the 40 days and lose at least 10 pounds before January 1st. I hope that this will happen. Prayers.

Thanks for stopping by.
